Given Florida’s year-round growing season and porous, sandy soils, the humus-like substance which results in composting has numerous applications in the State. One of the feedstock materials important to creating either a soil amendment or compost is yard waste.
Yard waste can come in many forms – grass clippings, landscaping material, commercial tree trimming, and urban plant debris. This page is intended to provide educational materials and information on yard waste recycling in Florida.
