International Composting Awareness Week - May 4-10, 2025
International Compost Awareness Week (ICAW), held the first full week of May, is the compost industry's largest education initiative. Celebrated across the U.S. and internationally, ICAW aims to raise awareness about the benefits of composting and using compost to build healthy soil. The week features a fall poster contest and thousands of events hosted by schools, communities, governments, and businesses—promoting all forms of composting, from backyard bins to large-scale systems.
